I completed the W9 tax form. How do I make sure my TIN passes validation?

1. The name (individual or business legal name) entered in line 1 of the W-9 tax form must match EXACTLY the name you have registered with the IRS.
2. Your SSN (for individuals) or EIN (for companies) must match EXACTLY the number you have registered with the IRS.
3. Any mismatch between the name and the TIN on the W-9 form compared to what is registered with the IRS will cause TIN validation to fail.
