Our payment platform validates your TIN (tax information number) against official IRS records. We will send you an email notification in case the TIN you submitted with your W9 form fails.
This validation can fail for the following reasons:
- If the SSN/EIN does not match your name. Please double-check the SSN/EIN and if your name is written as you have it on the IRS records.
- Special characters can cause the validation to fail.
- If you are a company but marked in the payments portal as an individual or vice-versa.
